Generous leaders already exist in every community.
Students organizing drives. Teachers supporting local causes. Neighbours helping neighbours. People who refuse to look away from a problem.
This is your opportunity to connect that energy to a larger movement.

Who Should Apply?

A GivingTuesday leader brings the movement to life in their communities by leading efforts to bring people, organisations, and institutions together to take action. They don’t just act on their own – they get others involved to work towards something together.

This call is open to anyone, anywhere in India, whether you’re already taking action or just getting started. There are no restrictions on age, location, or background.

If you are under 18, you are welcome to apply with the support of a guardian to join the journey with you. Your guardian could be someone from an organization you are part of, or a parent, teacher, or trusted adult.

What Does a GivingTuesday Leader Do?

Every GivingTuesday leader shapes their own approach to growing generosity. There is no single way to lead.

This is what leading GivingTuesday can look like:

  • Bring people, organisations and institutions together around a cause you care about
  • Encourage others in your community to take action
  • Organise a campaign or act of generosity on GivingTuesday (1st December 2026)
  • Share stories of generosity from your community
  • Connect your work to a global movement for giving

Some leaders run collection drives or awareness campaigns. Others focus on volunteering, local issues, or simply starting conversations that inspire action. It starts with what you care about – and grows through action in your own community.
