This report examines how millennial donors, specifically those with significant resources living in the inequality hub of the Bay Area, make giving decisions. Much of the finding will be applicable to millennial donors outside of that geography. What causes do they care about? How do they choose among giving vehicles? Where do they receive advice? What are their biggest pain points around giving? The researchers interviewed 25 donors to learn more about their preferences and behaviors in the hopes of helping make giving more effective and efficient.
