This post is part of #GivingTuesday's #WomenWhoGive series, which celebrates women who are making a difference in their communities.

What inspired you to start giving?

I began giving to school causes and then realized I could really rely on a host of givers to make social change.

I raised over $60,000 for an app for farm workers that kicked off on #GivingTuesday and its an example of wonderful donors that use this unique opportunity to give back especially to projects that have such a social impact.

What does giving mean to you? Why do you continue to give your time, talents, money, or more to your community?

I will continue to find projects to fund or find social issues to give my hard earned babysitting money to —-because its the right thing to do.

What would you tell others who are looking to start giving back? Share a piece of advice will help them get started.

I would get ask them to look for causes that move them to action. To find those social impact issues that simply need a drop of funding to make them a reality. I ask that you read a few examples of what #GivingTuesday can do and what it can produce! See here and here.

Please share a favorite moment or story from when you volunteered or donated to an organization.

My favorite moment is when huge stars like Eva Longoria, Lin-Manuel Miranda, Gina Rodriguez began to also give because of all the students and grass roots support that was generated by our #GivingTuesday launch. It was amazing!
