Animal Services and Assistance Programs (ASAP) gives all we have everyday to unwanted, abandoned, homeless, discarded, hungry, old, young, sick, injured and afraid dogs, cats and horses! Today is Kimi's day! Hit by a car on November 15th, 2017, Kimi was brought in to an animal ER as a stray. Kimi, it turns out, is a young feral cat with a broken jaw. With no owner she was out of options. ASAP was contacted by local animal control to see if we would be willing to take Kimi in under our Guardian Angels Program. Of course we said yes. Kimi underwent surgery to repair her fractured jaw, open wounds and abrasions. After spending 4 days in intensive care on an IV we were finally able to take Kimi home. Kimi is beginning to eat soft food and learning to trust humans and on the way to recovery in body and spirit until she finds her forever home. #GivingTuesday is a reminder of what a community can do for those animals like Kimi that have no voice. Kimi is one of hundreds of animals we provide life-saving veterinary care for each year. ASAP is funded 100% by contributions from the public. #GivingTuesday and your matched contributions will allow us to continue to help animals like Kimi. Thanks on behalf of those without a voice.
