Good Day, my name is Art and I am a recovering meth addict. Addiction does not always manifest itself in the stereotypical fashion we expect- but can be anywhere and affect anyone. I struggled with addiction for over 22 years. All the while, I kept my job at the same company. My binge using grew worse and worse over the years and I was hospitalized many times until I lost my job in February 2016. I heard of Second Chance Orange County in a meeting and I contacted Deb Johnson, who is in the photo with me. She helped me get back on my feet on the road to success. She helped me get a job on an Assembly Member's campaign. The good news is: I am in recovery and have over 20 months free of mind-altering substances! This help can mean the difference between life and death. Depression is always keeping you down and you need a mentor/coach and a job to stay in a good place. Please support this organization so they can continue to help people at a critical time in the lives. If is a life-line that is badly needed. On #GivingTuesday, give what you can so Second Chance Orange County can help. Thank you!
