Please join us on #GivingTuesday and help us achieve our dream of a Transitional Home in Little Rock. I have been working with incarcerated women for 16 years and know how this can make a difference in so many lives. Magdalene Coming Home will be a two-year residential program for women who have experienced abuse, addictions, and often prostitution and incarceration. Participants will live together in a nurturing community that fosters transformation of body, mind, and spirit and that promotes mutual respect and sustainable change. They live in the community cost-free for their entire stay, with health, dental, and psychological care provided. Without the burden of worrying about rent or bills, these women have the peace of mind to heal and reintegrate into society. Upon completion of the program, graduates will be equipped with the skills and knowledge of resources needed to live as healthy and life-giving members of society. We hope to build a thriving social enterprise for the women to work at and gain job experience. The service model is based on Magdalene and Thistle Farms, Nashville, TN, with adaptations to fit Arkansas needs. Join us on #GivingTuesday and help make this dream become a reality. We are currently teaching in the ThinkLegacy program at Hawkins Correctional Facility and have a mentoring program in place for approval by Arkansas Correctional Facility. Your support can help us achieve our goal of purchasing and opening the home. Thank you for your generosity.
