Kingwood Montessori School is a private, not-for-profit business in Kingwood, Texas. We believe the Montessori Method offers an exemplary foundation for 21st-century students to learn with freedom, in a safe, structured and loving environment, leading them to a life of success and fulfillment.

Kingwood Montessori was created in May of 2007 when a group of experienced Montessori professionals had the vision of creating a new school, founded in love, and with a deep respect for the peaceful nature of the Montessori Method. We opened our doors on September 26, 2007. Our original benefactor was businessman Jim Zimmer of Men’s Wearhouse and the Zimmer Foundation. In September of 2007 we began with 27 students (toddler to 6th grade), and 10 staff at Calvary Church in Kingwood. In March of 2008 we moved into the Colonnade. Since then, we have enjoyed a steady growth rate. It is our goal to be a beacon for exemplary Montessori education, we will continue to work every day to reach more children and families by expanding into a school for children from infancy to twelfth grade, and provide scholarships to children from all social and economic backgrounds. With your generous donation, we will continue to develop leaders who profoundly contribute to and benefit the world.
