Yesterday was #GivingTuesday for the women from AFUMC Blanket Ministries group, as they made blankets for Beats the Streets homeless guests and those in need. The Blanket Ministries group prays over each blanket they make. Beats the Streets will pass out the blankets along with our #BagsOfHope filled with non-perishable food, drinks and new socks, hygiene products and first aid supplies.
We love to enrich the lives of our participants through apprenticeships, educational services and workshops, coaching, job development and training, job placement, parenting skills, child outreach and enrichment program, and one-on-one mentoring.
"For even the Son of Man came not to be served but to serve, and to give his life as a ransom for many" Mark 10:45
We desire to build partnerships with churches with the goal of equipping and empowering the homeless to build lives through a self-sustainable plan for the future.
We provide emergency food, clothing, shelter, eviction prevention, permanent housing, job training, parenting skills and enrichment programs for the homeless children.
We offer programs that represent solutions to dramatically reduce the homeless population and prevent homelessness among those most at risk. We know firsthand the challenges they face and shape our services to best meet their needs.
"Do not neglect to do good and to share what you have, for such sacrifices are pleasing to God" Hebrews 13:16
