Randolph College joins global giving movement #GivingTuesday #GivingTuesday is a global day of giving that harnesses the collective power of individuals, communities, and organizations to encourage philanthropy and to celebrate generosity worldwide. This internationally recognized day of giving back is held annually on the Tuesday after Thanksgiving and the widely recognized shopping events of Black Friday and Cyber Monday.
The Randolph College community is coming together to help promote the College’s second annual giving day. Last year nearly 300 donors supported the College’s first ever giving day contributing almost $90,000 to the Annual Fund, making it the largest online giving day in the history of the College.
This year faculty, staff, students, and alums aim to double or triple the number of donors and dollars given.
Throughout the day on November 29, the college community will issue several challenges to the Even and Odd classes. Through a friendly rivalry competition, the College community will encourage classes to see which group can raise the most overall for the Annual Fund and also which group can realize the highest number of Annual Fund donors in the spirit of giving for the College.
