Are any of these pictures normal, it's not your concern, right?
We as a society in general are portraying the constant and glaring ideology, it's just about ourselves and our own personal gain! Sorry to break the news, It's not, check this link out for yourselves: http://greatergood.berkeley.edu/…/5_ways_giving_is_good_for…
Stop the press, and immediately pick up your cellphone, take down, or pull your calendar out and save the date! There is less than a few hours left until #GivingTuesday!
Remember (tomorrow), 11.29.16 and Veteran Connection is a partner in this monumental movement! #GivingVetConnectNow
#GivingTuesday is a global day of giving fueled by the power of social media and collaboration. Celebrated on the Tuesday following Thanksgiving (in the U.S.) and the widely recognized shopping events Black Friday and Cyber Monday, #GivingTuesday kicks off the charitable season. This is when many focus on their holiday and end-of-year giving.
We will continue our campaign through December 31, so please act now on this call to action to help end veteran homelessness in 2017!
One of the best ways to get involved is in your own community. There is a directory that was created to help you find organizations, charities, events and more in your own community on the website at https://www.givingtuesday.org/.
Of course, we want you to also become an elite member of our universal movement and help change the current homeless veteran epidemic. Please support Veteran Connection in its worthwhile cause; assisting homeless veterans in finding safe and decent places to call "home" and other resources/tools to help them become self-sufficient, productive citizens again!
Open your hearts, it only takes $25 to feed a homeless veteran for a week. Quick question, does veteran and homeless go together? I didn't think so, I just decided to ask! We are going for something bigger here and we are attempting to eradicate this growing epidemic. Have you ever asked yourself why is our government trying to keep our treasured veterans out on these unsafe streets? We have veteran suicide rates up to 22 per day, and those suffering in silence with PTSD and other disorders who need help.
Our ultimate goal is to provide some type of homes for each and every one of our discarded veterans (who will accept our help) and the resources towards self efficacy. Two favors to ask of you, please join our team, if you can do it now and no amount is too big or small to give for veterans.
You would go to the website, www.vetconnectnow.org. And whether you participate or not, please share this message to all your contacts who may be interested in end-of-year giving and who truly realize this epidemic is senseless. Let's stop promoting homelessness and putting Band-Aids on this gaping wound and commit to making a difference ourselves today!
The links below are just a small token of my gratitude to everyone that have supported Veteran Connection in some type of way, either large or small. Thank you for your time, take care of yourselves and each another and have a Happy Holiday season! In closing, God bless you and yes, you can make a difference, we need volunteers (virtually or locally is fine), entrepreneurs, donors, and corporate sponsors. We will end homelessness for our veterans and give them the help in which they deserve immediately.
We once needed them (and they didn't know us) so now it's our turn to help them for their sacrifices for our freedoms we enjoy! Here's your chance, join our movement #GivingVetConnectNow!
