When you’re in the fundraising business, it’s difficult not to pitch your own services when writing a blog post. That said, I believe the spirit of #GivingTuesday (from a fundraiser’s perspective) is about rallying together and sharing ideas and creative methods to increase participation and donations on that magical day. I’m here to introduce many of you to a creative and unique visual way to better engage your supporters, increase donations and expand your donor base.

GivingGrid.com was launched roughly a year and a half ago. In this day and age of Facebook, Instagram, Pinterest, etc., it’s all about the visual, the photos. The essence of GivingGrid is about sharing photos, while making a donation. It helps create a community feel, where ever feels more a part of things and the very nature of uploading photos you love, promotes sharing. As we all know, sharing is how you grow your supporter/donor base.

Last year was our first #GivingTuesday experience. We really didn’t know what to expect and didn’t do much of anything to prepare. We felt a little buzz before it and saw some campaigns being created, but that was about it. We were blown away with the results that day. It was really crazy, so this year was different…

With #GivingTuesday in total focus, we created two very cool themes specifically for #GivingTuesday fundraising. These themes give your supporters something entirely different, visual and fun! It’s kind of like supercharging your #GivingTuesday fundraising!
