Did you know every day 10,000 people are turning 65 years old in the United States? This trend is expected to continue until 2030! Sadly, as the senior population continues to grow rapidly, the programs and services available to support them are only shrinking.

When Home Instead Senior Care set out to "change the face of aging," Home Instead Senior Care Foundation knew the valuable role the organization would play in this mission. We partner with nonprofits throughout the United States to empower greater charitable giving in support of seniors.

Senior-focused nonprofits use our online giving platform (GIVE65.org) and participate in our GIVE65 Event with the hopes of earning matching dollars or financial rewards.

This #GivingTuesday we have 65 nonprofits (just a coincidence) rallying their supporters to give to their senior-focused organizations; an added incentive this year is the $50,000 matching funds Home Instead Senior Care Foundation is offering; a max of $5,000 per nonprofit.

The nonprofits offer a variety of services: bustling senior centers, meal deliver services, dance and exercise classes for people with Parkinson's disease, in-home medical care, hospice care for seniors who can't afford it, art therapy programs, transportation services, and the list goes on and on.

While this population continues to grow rapidly, they're often forgotten. So many seniors are isolated, under fed and are not receiving the proper medical care they need because they don't have immediate family to care for them, they can't afford it or they don't know who to turn to. These nonprofits are doing amazing work and are truly helping to change the face of aging. We just hope that more and more people can remember the value seniors bring to our lives and the importance of taking care of them and helping them live out their final days as comfortably as possible.
